Pride and Prejudice (1995)
I enjoyed the first part of the mini series and I thought the cast was pretty well picked. The directors/writers did well in showing how the characters were feeling/reacting. In Jane Austen's book, there is a lot of inner dialogue that isn't narrated over the show and the characters really have to act out how their characters are feeling so the audience will still know what the characters are feeling and can infer what they are thinking from their facial expressions. We see this happen throughout like when Elizabeth is embarrassed by her family at social gatherings and by how she responds to Darcy's proposal. Lizzy's inner dialogue is not known but some things are added in or taken away. The overall feel is pretty similar to the book, though.
