Pride and Prejudice
After reading through Nina's article on Pride and Prejudice, I felt intrigued by the idea that the women of this novel have their lives narrowed down and limited in scope to just the sole purpose of finding a wealthy husband. That was the main idea that I took away while reading through the book as well so I found it pretty interesting. All of the Bennet daughters were forced to make getting married the focal point of their lives, and in doing so, they lose the ability to pursue what truly makes them happy. Like Nina stated, their lives are essentially in suspension until they can get married, and that's actually sort of really tragic.
