Macbeth was definitely not what I expected. When I first started watching I was surprised. The movie was way more modern than I thought it would be. It was very intriguing to see how Goold interrupted Macbeth and transformed it into something that could be put in today's society. I especially liked what he did with the witches, they were extremely creepy and quite convincing. I thought it was a smart more to portray the witches as nurses because they were able to toy with life and death in today's society. The actors were phenomenal and lady Macbeth really kept my attention. She was dark and really committed to her madness and I loved any moment she was on screen. Macbeth was also well played. He's character waswell thought out and whenever he did a speech I wanted to listen. Overall I was surprised at this version of Macbeth and it was definitely not what I was expecting.
