Throne of Bloods
My first reaction to Throne of Bloods was, "Oh my god, this is gonna suck." between the black and white picture, the Japanese language and the awful background music I thought it was going to be a gruesome 90 minutes. Surprisingly, after adapting to the sound of them speaking, and turning down my headphones during the awful background music, I found myself oddly becoming engulfed into what was happening. This adaptation of Macbeth was a lot more easier for me to follow than the pervious movie and the book. I say that because the character list was shorter, it was far more focused on Macbeth and his journey throughout the movie. One of my favorite things that was done in this movie is the time we did focus on Macbeth. When Lady Macbeth first introduced the idea of murdering the great lord, we witnessed how hard she had to convince him, and when she finally placed the sword in his hands, we got to see him struggle with not only taking the sword from her, but the idea of the deed he was about to commit. In this particular scene, Macbeth's emotions were easily depicted here and we didn't have to assume how he felt and I really liked that.
